IDEA wants to enable the participation of students and coaches at this year’s IDEA Global Youth Forum in Ireland through a generous scholarships fund that allows teams to apply for full or partial registration fee waivers.
The scholarship fund for this year will be $100,000 and is sponsored by the Open Society Youth Initiative.
Funding will be given out to meet the needs of countries and debate communities that face financial difficulties in attending to the Global Youth Forum, as well as to debaters and coaches that demonstrate their capacity to spread the knowledge and experience they gain at the Global Youth Forum to their own local circuit.
The application process for scholarships will open in September. Successful applicants will be informed after the end of the first stage of registration for the Global Youth Forum. For more information regarding the registration process, please visit the relevant page on our site.
The Youth Forum, our annual training and competitive event that brings together students from diverse backgrounds, runs in August 2013 at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
