We know you’re passionate about debate. We’d like you to share your unique experience of this year’s Global Youth Forum. What were your highlight moments that you will take away?
The winning entry will be posted on youthforum.idebate.org and idebate.org, which attract readers from around the world. This competition is a fantastic opportunity for you as an aspiring writer to reach a global, diverse and informed audience. What is more...the winner will also receive a fantastic Kindle Fire!
To be in with a chance of winning, write a 200-300-word blog post on the following topic:
“What was your experience of the 2013 Global Youth Forum?”
This can cover your cultural experiences, what you have learned in terms of the exchange of ideas, cultures and traditions, what you have learned about debating, the moment when you felt a sense of achievement, and highlights that really stand out for you.
The competition is open to all participants of the Global Youth Forum aged 13 to 19 years, and the winning entry will be determined by a panel of IDEA judges.
To enter, submit your blog post including your contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight on Friday 23 August 2013.Good luck!
Competition terms and conditions
The competition is open to all Global Youth Forum participants aged 13 – 19 years.
The competition is not open to IDEA staff, volunteers, adjudicators, trainers, judges or teachers.
The blog post must be between 200-300 words maximum.
The competition will close at midnight on Friday 23 August 2013.
The winner will be announced and the prize will be awarded on the last day of the Forum on Sunday 25 August 2013.
If the winner is not present, IDEA will choose another winner.
In line with the waiver as signed by you or your coach if under 18, by entering the competition you are consenting to your winning entry being posted on youthforum.idebate.org and idebate.org and wherever IDEA chooses to publish it within its communications network.
IDEA’s decision is final.
